Results · real numbers, named clients

One real case study so far, and nothing invented to pad it out.

Most agency “results” pages are numbers nobody can check. This page adds a result only once a client agrees to be named, with dates and figures you can verify yourself.

Out on the Thames

A Thames party-boat and events business, rebuilt from a single page into sixteen and restructured for local and AI search. Published with the owner’s permission, with exact dates so you can check it yourself.

The starting point

  • outonthethames.co.uk — an established domain, registered January 2022
  • Content rebuilt in August 2026: one page restructured into sixteen dedicated service and location pages
  • Not a new domain and not a blank slate — an underused one, rebuilt properly

What’s measured since (11 Aug–8 Oct 2026, 59 days)

  • Average Google ranking position improved from 28.9 to 21.2, comparing the first and second halves of the period
  • 38 genuine enquiries, calls and WhatsApp contacts logged through the site in that window
  • 65 new visitors arrived via ChatGPT/AI-assistant referral — real, measurable AI-search traffic
  • “boat party london” — 1,937 impressions, sitting at position 11.6, just off page one and the next target

In the owner’s words: “Amazing service, helped my company to achieve so many more leads. Thank you Tony.” — Mete Alpsakarya, Out on the Thames. Read it on Google.

Clicks and impressions moved down slightly over the same period even as ranking position improved — a believable combination when a site is climbing from page three toward page two, not yet a clean upward line. I’d rather show you that than tidy it up.

What does exist

Evidence I can actually put in front of you

Not client outcomes, but not nothing either. These are checkable today.

This website

The site you’re reading was rebuilt from the ground up after a full technical audit of the old one. Every page here has its own subject and its own answers — which is exactly the problem the audit found on the old version, where several pages were near-identical to each other.

If you want a site built to be found and to convert, judging mine is a fair place to start.

The audit itself

The free audit isn’t a lead-magnet PDF with your logo dropped in. It’s the same process I ran on my own site: crawl every page, check titles, headings, schema, page speed, Google Business Profile and who’s outranking you locally, then write up what to fix first.

What the audit covers

A working method, in writing

What I’ll do, what it costs and what it should change is agreed before anything starts. The service pages spell out what’s included and, just as importantly, what isn’t.

What a build includes

A named, reachable person

Tony, Clacton on Sea, 01255 442479. Not a contact form behind a brand name — you can ring the person who would do the work and ask him anything on this page.

Questions about this page

Checking the case study

Is the Out on the Thames case study a real client?

Yes. Out on the Thames is a genuine Top in Local client, a Thames party-boat and events business at outonthethames.co.uk. The case study names the business, links to its live website, and quotes a real Google review left by its owner, Mete Alpsakarya.

Where do the numbers in the case study come from?

Google Search Console (ranking position, clicks and impressions) and the site’s own GA4 analytics (enquiries, calls, WhatsApp contacts and AI-referral traffic), covering 11 August to 8 October 2026. Every figure is dated and stated as measured, not claimed.

Whose review is quoted on this page?

The review quoted is Top in Local’s own first Google review, left by Mete Alpsakarya of Out on the Thames in his capacity as a Top in Local client, thanking Tony for the leads the work generated. It is not a review of Out on the Thames itself.

Why is there only one case study on this page?

Top in Local only publishes a case study once a client has agreed to be named and the figures can be checked. Rather than publish invented statistics or borrowed testimonials, the page stays limited to what is genuinely confirmed, and grows as more clients agree to be included.

What comes next

What every case study on this page will contain

The Out on the Thames write-up above follows this shape. Every case study added after it will too — so you can hold me to it.

The named business

  • Real business name, trade and town, linked to their site
  • Published with their written permission
  • What they came to me with, in their words where possible

The checkable numbers

  • The starting position and the date it was measured
  • What changed, over what period, from which account
  • Enquiries and calls where the client is happy to share them
  • What didn’t work, when that’s part of the story

Are you a Top in Local client? If the work has gone well and you’re willing to be named, send me a line and I’ll write it up and send it to you for approval before anything is published.

Next step

Judge the work, not the page

The free audit is the honest version of a case study: I do a piece of real work on your business first, and you decide from that whether I’m any good.
